This site was part of a family farm and lies on the southern side of Yatton, North Somerset within walking distance to local shops, Primary Schools and the main line train station. Mead Realisations were put in touch with the land owner who thought the land had potential for development.
There were several matters to address with the local planning authority including site location, ecology, landscape and especially bat mitigation. Initially, the application was refused but Mead Realisations Ltd appealed to the local council, employing a high calibre QC Barrister. This resulted in the refusal being overturned and approval for 100 dwellings being granted.
To the delight of the land owner, this site is now sold.
